The Adventurer Voyage

I loved every minute of our adventure. The weather was less than desirable, but I don’t think we missed a thing. Our chef, Meg, was creative and patient. There were eleven of us, and she pleased everyone. The adventures, included kayaking, photographing amazing wildlife, walking among the glaciers, and learning do much about Prince William Sound. The nature aspect of this trip was beyond beautiful. As a side note, the group we were with was terrific. We all got along great, chatted the entire time, and played a memorable game. Would I do this again? In a minute.

This trip was unbelievable! So exciting to watch the glaciers and so much wildlife. Just the experience of being on the boat in beautiful Prince William Sound surrounded by beauty night and day was a lifetime high point. The guides were so knowledgeable and patiently helpful. The food was outstanding. Captain Dean and his wife Meghan were wonderful people to travel with. You won’t find a better adventure.

This was truly an adventure of a lifetime! Being on a six cabin boat allowed views and experiences that you could never get from a cruise liner. Dean, Megan & crew were amazing. We saw up close so much wildlife & learned so much about Prince William Sound. Megan provided unbelievable gourmet meals & were beautifully presented. The scenery, kayaking, and hiking was outstanding. Memories for a lifetime! Thank you Discovery!

John and I had a wonderful trip – the highlight of our Alaska adventure. Dean and Megan were so skilled, open and knowledgeable- and fun!, as were the naturalists. Only one really sunny day, but easily able to hike and kayak each day. The beauty of Prince William Sound, the water, glaciers and wildlife was enchanting, the fellow passengers congenial. Meals were outstanding and a cruise ship can’t compare with the intimacy of a small vessel and Dean’s ability to anchor us in quiet bays, next to waterfalls or glaciers each night. We’re so grateful for an amazing experience that gave us wonderful, lasting memories.

The crew provided the dream adventure trip of a lifetime that we’ll never forget! This is THE BEST WAY to experience Alaska – up close and personal!

It was a private family voyage, the memory of which will last a lifetime. The experience we had will be very difficult to duplicate. We had two granddaughters that really bonded with the crew. The whole family had an amazing experience in nature. The food was excellent. The interaction with the crew was special. The scenery and adventures were priceless. Thank you Dean, Megan and crew.

The trip lived up to everything I expected and I learned and saw a lot that I know I would otherwise not have experienced. The brochure was spot-on in terms of what to expect. The guides did a wonderful job of teaching and guiding, and certainly helped me experience the most that I could. Dean’s commentary was insightful and entertaining, he clearly needs a larger wheelhouse for the audience he always had. And Meg’s dining experience was delicious, a nice selection and wonderfully prepared and presented. In fact several from our trip made a dish or two from the cookbook upon their return home. The accommodations, food and experiences were all top notch! I liked this trip so much I could definitely have stayed longer for more of Alaska.

Our experience in Prince William Sound was so up close and personalized for our family group with the perfect balance of both scenic experience and the “action”of hiking and kayaking. There was something for the 70-year olds to the 8-year olds in our family group to all take away. The entire crew is sensational! Wonderful memories for a lifetime! Thank you!
