Awesome trip
Awesome trip. It was my second time, and I intend to add a third!
The Classic Discovery Voyage explores the natural wonders of Prince William Sound. Years of travel and exploration have resulted in a destination list of must-see places including wildflower meadows, rainforest trails, calving glaciers, whale watching, breathtaking waterfalls, shore side hikes, and kayaking in the protected bays and fjords.
This voyage is offered in lengths of 3 – 7 days, with the longer trip giving us the ability to venture further into the Sound and allowing for exploration of additional glaciers, bays, and more opportunity for whale watching.
** New to 2023!** Enjoy a one way trip from Whittier to the remote fishing town of Cordova (or vice versa)! Alongside our usual activities, we will spend time viewing the brown bears of the eastern side of the Sound!
The Classic Voyage is geared towards all activity levels, and is a common trip for retired parents to enjoy with their adult “children”!

Awesome trip. It was my second time, and I intend to add a third!
Fabulous experience! They really take good care of everyone, regardless of physical ability. They have intimate knowledge of the wildlife, weather and geography allowing them to customize the tour to maximize the guests’ experience. Oh, and I would book the tour again just for the food! Twice was not enough, we hope to return again in the future.
We have been on two Discovery Voyage trips. Each time the tour was excellent, the food was fresh and delicious, and the staff was warm, kind, and accommodating. The daily outings are intimate. We would kayak near the glaciers, hike remote areas, view wildlife, and enjoy each outing. The Captain is the best in Alaska. This trip is recommended for families and couples who want to experience Alaska and not be a spectator.
Great friendly crew, great food, great sights. My favorite was kayaking with the bergy bits.
