Classic Discovery Voyage

This trip will be hosted by return Sierra Club guest, Nick Pilch. The nights of May 27 and June 2 are included in a downtown Anchorage hotel or B&B, as is private transportation to and from the vessel.

The nights of June 8 and 13 are included at a downtown Anchorage hotel or B&B, as is private transportation to and from the vessel.

Enjoy this Land & Sea Adventure! Guests will start with arrival to Anchorage on June 16th (accommodations included). We will voyage Prince William Sound June 17th - 21st, and return to Anchorage to overnight on the 21st. On the morning of June 22nd, guests will fly to Silver Salmon Creek Lodge in Lake Clark National Park for several days of wildlife viewing, most importantly the coastal brown bears which will exceed the 1,000lb mark by the end of summer feeding. Optional halibut fishing (not included). Guests will return to Anchorage on June 25th, checking out on June 26th. A maximum of 12 guests will enjoy the voyage, while 8 will continue on to Lake Clark with guide Hugh Rose.

The nights of June 30 and July 5 are included at a downtown Anchorage hotel or BnB, as is private transportation to and from the vessel.

Enjoy activities based in a town on the eastern part of Prince William Sound that is only accessible by boat or plane --- Cordova. Flightseeing, brown bear viewing by boat, rafting the famed Copper River, and kayaking in a glacial lake at the base of Sheridan Glacier are amongst the planned activities. Interested in fishing? Arrive a day early and take a fishing charter. After your stay at Orca Adventure Lodge in Cordova, guests will fly to Anchorage (included) and voyage on a 5 day/4 night trip in Prince William Sound. Guests will be accompanied by professional photographer, naturalist and geologist, Hugh Rose.

The nights of July 28 and August 2 are included at a downtown Anchorage hotel or B&B, as is private transportation to and from the vessel. Hugh Rose, professional photographer, guide and naturalist will be joining us! You do NOT have to be a photographer to enjoy this trip.

This trip is a Cross-Prince William Sound adventure, starting in the West and ending in the East! Guests will start with the first night of August 6th in Anchoraeg at a downtown hotel or B&B. The last night of August 13th will have accommodations in Cordova at Orca Adventure Lodge (flight departing Cordova not included). As always, private transportation to and from the vessel is included, as is airport transportation in Cordova. If you have an interest in fishing, stay an extra day and go out on a fishing charter with Orca Adventure Lodge!

The nights of August 21 and 26 are included at a downtown Anchorage hotel or BnB, as is private transportation to and from the vessel.

September is a great time for Northern Lights viewing, without the frigid cold of the Alaska winter months! Enjoy a 5 day/4 night voyage in Prince William Sound (max 12 guests) from August 27 - 31, followed by a trip up above the Arctic Circle. Professional photographer and naturalist Hugh Rose will accompany 8 guests north bound to Fairbanks, Wiseman and eventually Deadhorse in search of northern lights and arctic wonders. Guests travel in a Mercedes Sprinter van with room to stand as well as windows that open. Your last night will be September 5th in Deadhorse, checking out on the 6th. Optional visitation to the Prudhoe Bay oilfields and the Artic Ocean through private companies. Flight departing Deadhorse not included.
